Helping those hurt by Santa Rosa fires

Helping Victims of California's Fires...

Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino counties’ community foundations have jointly mobilized the Northern California Fire Fund to respond to the devastating fires that have displaced thousands of residents and destroyed vast numbers of homes and businesses in their region. The Foundation has assembled decision-makers from the nonprofit sector and local governments to assess urgent needs, identify short-term gaps and gather information that will inform longer-term recovery efforts.

The Northern California Fire Fund will be providing support for nonprofit organizations as they help individuals, families and the community recover and rebuild The funding distribution will be made by the region’s community foundations accredited by the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations in the affected areas. To date those are the Community Foundation Mendocino County, Napa Valley Community Foundation, and Community Foundation Sonoma County. The Foundations will consider both short-term and long-term recovery needs, knowing that over time the needs will be very different and the financial costs will shift. Tax-deductible contributions to the Northern California Fire Fund are welcome in any amount. Here's a link if your interested in helping!
